What is WaterLock?

WaterLock is an eco-friendly, biodegradable, non-toxic, pet and child-safe superabsorbant powder. When it comes in contact with water, it will absorb and hold up to 400 times its weight in water. Once absorbed, this water is only released through osmosis into the surrounding environment.

Is WaterLock safe for my children and pets?

Absolutely! WaterLock is a non-toxic powder that won't cause harm if accidentally ingested.

How does WaterLock help my plants grow?

One thing all types and sizes of plants have in common, is their constant requirement for water. Normal soil can only absorb a certain amount of water, but by adding WaterLock to your soil or potting mix, you can increase the water-holding capacity of your soil. By keeping more water in the ground, the root structures of your new plants are able to grow much faster and stronger.

Is WaterLock easy to use?

Absolutely! WaterLock is designed to help even the most inexperienced gardeners discover their green thumb! All you need to do is mix the dry powder into your potting soil, plant your seeds and watch them grow! For dosage and instructions, follow the easy to use instructions on the packaging label, or here on our website.

How long does WaterLock last?

Good question!

The product itself will biodegrade into harmless byproducts due to naturally occurring bacteria in your soil by about 10-15% per year. So while you can enjoy the water-saving effects, you will have to replenish your soil after a few years, hopefully when your plant has outgrown its first home!

WaterLock is also UV sensitive, which means it should be well mixed into your soil.

Who should use WaterLock?

WaterLock can help anyone who is currently growing, or plans to grow and type of plant, lawn, tree or shrub...anything that needs water, needs WaterLock.

Whether you travel for long periods of time, have plants in tough to reach areas, have water restrictions in your city/town or are just forgetful, WaterLock can help. By adding the powder to your soil, you can decrease the watering frequency for your plants, while maintaining enough water in the soil for their continued growth.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We currently only accept payment through VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, for the time being we are only able to accept orders within Canada.
